    Questioning the authenticity of this 1020 ref. 166.0203 on the Bay. Seller does not have a photo of the movement or case back and is not the original owner. Claims to have original leather band w/ buckle.

    Hello to the OF.

    The Seamaster should have a cal. 1010 or 1012 movement.

    Cal. 1020 has a day/date window and not only the date window. Crown might be correct but it is quite hard to say with only a pic from the front.

    There is one thing with the dial. Omega data base shows a picture where "Automatic" is written right under Omega and not under Seamaster. I am not sure if there were different dial variations but for me the dial looks OK.

    dial should be OK like it is. found several watches on the net with the same dial variation.

    If you"re told it's a 1020 it's the wrong movement as it'as a day date movement. A 1012 is the correct movement (and an excellent one)
