Screwdown crown on a 3210.52?

I just purchased my first Omega watch. It is a pre-owned Omega Speedmaster Date ref# 3210.52. Upon first inspection, I noticed the crown does not screw down or lock. I emailed the seller who responded saying

"Omega speedmaster models do not have a screw-down crown"

Can anyone confirm? Does my watch need repairing?
