I need the screws that hold the fine adjuster in place. It's part 1346 . See the image. Anyone know what part number the screws are?
my fine adjuster is part 344 but I dont see the screws on the diagram that would match and no number like 72200003403? Thanks Richard
Okay - now I see it's not a Cal. 55X/56X, but an earlier caliber. In the future, more information is better than less when asking for help... The screw you need is part 72200002248.
my caliber is a 503... but I dont see these screw numbers on the parts list. Do you know where I can obtain them?
2248 is on the list - I am giving you the full Omega part number in it's current form... Where to buy it from - try a watch material supplier like Otto Frei, Jules Borel, Cousins, Ernst Westphal, or eBay depending on where you are. Based on what I'm reading here, I am going to suggest that you simply take the watch to a watchmaker who can source and install the part for you... Cheers, Al
Are the photos of your watch? If not, you should say so because I was assuming it was. So please clarify - do you need the spring that you adjust to move the regulator against the spring, or the screw that holds the spring to the balance cock? If it's the former the answer I've given you is correct, but if it's the latter it's 2247.
First , thank you for sharing your obviously vast knowkege! You solved the question and I've ordered the correct screws you identified. This all started when I had the watch totally restored at a cost of 800.00. Somehow in the process it came back without the head of 2248 so no fine adjusting could be done. I ordered the spring and it came with 2248 but not 2247. Naturally I lost one of them attempting to put it in as it sprang from tweezer. I knew the rate, beat amp going in and it ran 10 seconds fast. Hence I wanted to make a 10 second reduction to the rate which was +16. The best was .8 and amp 240. I'm not a watch maker but I seem to be able to get my 7 omegas within 6 seconds per 24 hours using a timing machine. So while one mounting screw might hold it I'd rather have two. I'm frankly amazed someone can make a thread so tiny. These gears and parts are works of art! Poetry in motion
