Scratches/Spots/Stains on Omega Speedmaster DSOM ceramic Case

Hello,

During changing straps on my moon ceramic watch, i ended up with some lighte scratches on all 4 brushed service area of the lugs.

can these marks be fixed and the watch returns back to what it was before?

Are they really marks and not material transfer, a surface deposit, or just burnishing?

This is my first ceramic watch, so i dont know how it differes from stainless steel cases when it comes to scratches, scuffs….etc

Unless a diamond-tipped tool was used, it's probably just (stainless) steel transfer onto the ceramic.

I'm saying you can remove it yourself. Scotchbrite pad, some alcohol perhaps. Might just wipe off to with a cloth.

It's not going to hurt the ceramic.

I have a Tudor Ceramic and occasionally see small marks from the spring bars after changing straps. As others have noted, they are typically steel bits from the spring bars that can be wiped off the watch without any evidence of a scratch. Pencil eraser should work.

Are you able to take a clearer photo? The focus on the marks is not very sharp and the file size too small for a high resolution photo ( only 48 K ).

to my understanding, omegas ceramic back cases are full ceramic, and at first i thought it is a chop off issue, so even if ot is chopped, it should be black. right?
