This one up in PV: a little bit of everything including a watchmaker's shop truck and a couple of singers:
Thanks for posting. Beautiful KG and some great Porsches, especially that light green 914, (needs Fuchs though!)
Hey guys - HELP! I know my way round UK cars (see my avatar - daily driver) - but I don't recognise any Singers. Which are they? Is this a two-countries-separated-by-a-common-language thing?
Looks like a great turn out! Have yet to see a Singer in person.... Shoulda taken more pics of the F40!
See the last 3 pics of page 2. Singer Vehicle Design is a southern Calif. restoration/modification shop for air-cooled porsche 911's. http://singervehicledesign.com/
Nice one! Cheers 2ar2c1. I though it would be something like that. We have Singers in UK; they are from Singer Motors Ltd; their first car was built in 1901.
British owned actually the head of it was the lead singer for a band called Catherine Wheel. You might recognize his last name and his brother though.... Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of s Tony band called Iron Maiden. The name though refers to Norbert Singer a Porsche designer. Every part of the Singer has been modified the body is actually carbon fiber and the car no longer shares any measurements with any 911 but looks like the perfect 911.

I REALLY want to get into Singer... but seriously, almost 7 figures for a rebuilt 964/993? I get the engineering, I get the tech, I get the quality of work, but seriously...
If you see one in person it makes sense. Every panel is redesigned, every piece of trim. They are only 964's and even when next to a turbo 964 or an original RSR you can see they made every curve better, and then do it in carbon fiber. That is what makes them special. Every single piece of the car was looked at and the question asked "what is the best for this part? OK, how can we make it better?" They are the Platonic Ideal of a 911...They are like the Pateks of the car world, and you can still get one in the upper mid 6 figures if you don't go insane on the engine...
When I was a teenager in the 80's I bought and sold cars..Went through many..One that got away was a 1963 Maserati GT 3500 ..Took my parents to see this car in a building..The guy raised the garage door and at 18 I was in awe! My parents said it was too expensive at $7000! (What do I know right?). Well this is one of my barn finds that never was.. This is the king of car I could have had but had fun finding many ..
