Once a thief knows you have a home safe you are a target for a home invasion. No safe will withstand a gun pointed at your, or a loved one's, head. They are often false security. Think it all through.

We had a floor mounted safe in the house in which I grew up (SoCal so pretty arid-humidity want an issue).It was poured into the slab in a closet and had carpeting over it- then moms shoes on top. Nobody would ever had thought to look there. I thought that was pretty clever.

After watching some youtube videos by "The Lock Picking Lawyer" I've lost much faith in locks. A good hide and tight lips is always good.

You should understand that he is a really good lock picker. However, picking a lock is rarely the easiest way to get into something, particularly if you're OK with using tools and destroying things. For example, in most buildings, a motivated attacker won't even bother with the door, let alone the lock: the easiest way to get into a locked room is to just go through the drywall.
