I'm really wanting to pull the trigger on one of these but what are they thinking with the length of the band they're using for the side that directly attaches the buckle/clasp? I'm referring to the "shorter side" of a conventional watch strap that is attached to the buckle. Even the short version of this is about 91mm whereas the regular is about 102mm.

In comparison, the average length for the "shorter side" of a watch strap that I've seen is 70-80mm. For my 7" wrist, the measurements of this rubber strap make it feel like the buckle is going to rest too far to the inside part of my wrist. Am I crazy?
Its a deployant clasp, not buckle & tang, so the 12:00 side is longer. Works fine on my 7" wrist.

Yes that makes sense, thanks - I also wasn't thinking about how tucking the longer part of the band under the 12 o'clock strap when its closed will add thickness requiring additional length for the shorter side of the band.

Speaking of thickness, does anyone know how thick the band is?

Wondering if any of my fellow Apollo 11 50th Moonshine owners have given a try to this rubber option and/or have acquired the moonshine gold deployant clasp for a croc strap option… 😗
Paging @hansmaulwurf @VjaceCZ @Boony etc.
Did you get any further with this? @MTROIS is there a part number for the deployant and recommended spring bars with Moonshine gold? I have used the strap for a steel 3861 speedy and it is very comfortable. It is great for summer and less chance of scratches with short sleeves + less gold on show.... Looking for a gold option now. Any help much appreciated.

Go to a boutique and ask them to order, it definitely exists.

Just order it from their website. It's in stock @ $5270 + tax:

If you want to save some money, you could probably just buy the steel clasp and have a jeweler gold plate it, though the color might not match Moonshine exactly
Thanks for the link, I am glad I do not want Canopus ;0). Plating might be a good route as I have the steel and it is only a fun summer option that is needed. @Meme-Dweller and @PandaSPUR thanks for responding as well.

Have someone tried this rubber band on the Semaster 300M 165.024 ? I understand that case accepts speedmaster 861 / 1861 bracelets so suppose should work, but haven't seen a photo of that combo.

The strap fits between the lugs, but it doesn't sit close enough to the case to be a good fit & prevent it rotating (same as on a 145.022 case).
