Hi! I have a royce amphibian and have been looking out for anyone with spare bezels as I understand amphibians would have a selection in with the watch from new. I purchased mine from a collection in Italy but he only had the one bezel. Thought I'd post on here just in case I got lucky!!

Eska created some top tier timepieces back in the 1940s, both time only and chronographs. This one is 40mm.....

Hi everyone, it is wonderful to see so much passion about Eska/ Royce watches here! I have recently bumped into an Eska watch at my dealer and wonder if anyone can share his expertise on the authenticity of it? Much appreciated!

Is it supposed to look like that? I thought Royce were reasonably high quality watches? This one looks like someone has cut the centre of the dial out of it? Or is that an independent chapter ring and the whole dial is missing?

Maybe leaving the dial off was a cost cutting measure when the company was going through difficult times.

When I went down the Landeron Rabbit hole, One of the importer and makers marks of a dialess collection of chronograph parts indicated that an Eska dial might be appropriate. So I have been on the lookout for one.

I have no evidence I overpainted any Landeron dials 25 years ago. Only Venus 170 ones, although the program can generate Landeron dials.

Did not know about Royce. We would often take spring break trips to the desert (to get out of the pollen) and The Roy Roders Musem was a must to see the stuffed dog and the horse.

Being as the Eska Amphibian 600 has now been re-released (more a homage imo), I thought I would post this 1957 ad for the original. Cheers, Bob.

I know this is an old thread. And I’m new to the forum. However, came across this and thought someone might be able to help. The initial post mentioned the Royce professional marine Watch. I own a Lejour Professional Marine watch 1970's era? There were black and orange dials. Royce had the exact same watches available so I would guess that one made the other or both were made by another company? I have also read that LeJour was made by Heuer at the time of this watch. And that Yema made watches branded by LeJour at some point. There is information that the Royce version of this watch was issued to the French Navy, but I have not seen that specific reference in any literature and have not been able to determine if the LeJour version was also issued. With the exception of most, but not all of the Royces having 25 J, and most, but not all of the lejour having 17 J watches are basically identical. The markings on both the inside and outside case backs are exactly the same. Both are marked “S Kocher Grenchen Switzerland”. And the movements are marked the same with the exception of the jewels. AS 2603 (A. Schild). There seems to be a lot of knowledge on this thread so if anyone has specific information about my lejour they can share it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
