·Hi guys,
I have for sale a 1.7 serial Rolex Submariner 5513 in amazing conditions, with an unpolished case, a perfect dial with original lume and a mint bezel insert.
Serial dates back to 1968 and I got this watch from the family of the first owner.
This example is the first and rarest iteration of the matte 5513, transitional from gilt, fitted with earliest matte dial produced and carrying over the same lume compound (zinc sulphide) as found on gilt dial.
The watch was stored in a safe since the early 80's and it's probably the best 5513 'meter first dial' I had the chance to acquire: unpolished, unmolested, with flawless dial and a case.
The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.
CASE:
The case is even and thick, unpolished in my opinion.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 5513 caseback, correctly stamped 1967.
Original crown and tube.
BEZEL INSERT:
Original Rolex "Long 5" insert in mint conditions.
The tritium lume pipe is also still intact.
DIAL:
The dial is an original "meter first" dial with beautiful creamy patina even on all plots.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and was checked with UV light: both hands and hour markers react correctly in the same way.
Dial shows no chips around the rehault, no scratches, no "craquelê" or spots.
BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 7206 with 80 endings, correctly stamped '68, in very good conditions, unpolished in my opinion, with 12 links.
MOVEMENT:
Correct 1520 caliber running well.
The watch was fully serviced by watchmaker in October 2019.
Asking 17800 Euro, insured shipping included.
I am not interested in any trade and I have no room for negotiation on the price.
Payment method - I will accept Paypal and bank wire.
Plenty of international references.
