I need to start taking my watches in for service, they are 15-16 years old, still run within specs but I think I want to get them serviced now. Any recent experience with the RSC LA/BevHills location?

I have only had one experience with the NY location around two years back and everything was amazing. I guarantee you won't have any issues.

I don't believe they still service them in LA, but send them to their Dallas service center. Be sure to tell them, not only what you want them to do, but also, what you don't want them to do. If a dial or hands doesn't meet their arbitrary standards, they'll swap them out for service replacements and you'll lose all the watch's originality. There are independent services in LA and also one very very good one in San Francisco that I can recommend.

I had very good luck with JOT in Newport Beach. Kenny & crew did a great doing a complete service on my
1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual. Also got my first Rolex there.

My wife just got back her steel Datejust which had its first overhaul since she got it in 2007. Mailed it to the Dallas RSC on September 30 and received it back on Dec 8. It's running about +2 sec/day on her wrist, looks like new. It has a pink MOP dial which I've not seen on other watches but no issues there, they did replace the crystal due to a chip in it. The WG fluted bezel looks like it is a bit less sharp due to the refinishing but not a big deal. Very happy with the service. Wife has a JLC Reverso and a couple of Breguet's, but the Rolex is the one she wears 99% of the time, day in, day out. It gets hard wear. Some before/after pics.
