Hi Guys, i usually hang around in the Omega Forum, but this is a Rolex Question, so i came here. 😉
I might need to sell my Tripple 6 with a matte dial and very nice colored plots that is turning tropical. It has the original Bracelet,
The last service was about 7 years ago, i have a photo documentation of it, the watch is running great.
As these watches are quite rare i absolutely have no idea about a price i could sell it for.
I looked at Chrono24 and there they are offered starting with 11k USD without papers, like mine.

I would be happy if somebody help me out here, never asked such a stupid quesion before 😉

The last matte 666 I know of that sold locally here was about $8,700 in a private sale and it was fairly similar condition wise to yours. Chrono24 tends to be high as they're mainly dealers offering them rather than a private sale. They're a great watch the 666, vintage style with modern durability.

Thanks for that info, that gives me at least a tendency. Yes, thats why i bought it, it is also the only vintage diver i use in the water.

I agree with dsio, 666 matte dial are very collectible and it is hard to find it less than $9000. Chrono24 and ebay has almost the same prices for this watch.

They're a nice piece really, the last Rolex that has that real vintage look that you can still swim with any day of the week without fear.

1992: I have to make a choice. A like new 16610 for $1950., or a like new 16660 for $1400.

So guess which one I still own today. 🤦

Well maybe yes. However ebay will kill you with their fees. I'd try TRF and VRM. Matte 666's are rare.

Nice. They are only getting more expensive as the plexi SD get crazy prices.

Hi, there is no single answer to this question, there are many factors affecting the final price: the status of the case, bracelet, clasp, back cover, mechanism, availability of documents and their authenticity, and so on, Such as polishing significantly reduces the cost and especially not valued in the circle of collectors, but some love.So the price is likely to be approximate. So Chrono 24,and such markets is not an indicator.

A PM might have been the better approach than resurrecting an old thread

If you want to play the facepalm thing: in '92 I bought a Breitling , paying full retail...

😁
