·Hi all,
Up for sale is an OysterQuartz Datejust ref 17000. It is said that Rolex only made 25,000 pieces of the OysterQuartz during a 25 year production run (1977-2001) which included multiple variants of the Datejust and DayDate. From my experience, the all stainless variant ref 17000 is seldom seen and in my humble opinion seems to work best with the angular design and integrated bracelet.
Condition: This example is in good condition. The black dial is clean. The case is nice and thick and still retains original brushing which is critical on these. Some small scratches here and there due to normal wear but nothing excessive and presents well on the wrist. The crown action is smooth and screws in/out easily. The bracelet has minimal stretch for its age also retains original brushing. Date changes are crisp and timekeeping is excellent.
