Rolex logo on a 70s Jubilee

I have a steel Jubilee bracelet with the Rolex logos on it but nothing else like a serial number "Swiss Made", "STEEL INOX". I'm assuming it's either fake or aftermarket but I wanted some advice. It did come on a verified authentic Rolex case, etc. Any thoughts?

Who verified the watch case as authentic…. As wouldn’t they be able to verify the bracelet….
Let us see the watch now….

The "Who" is me. Judging by the serial number / model number on the case. I didn't open the back. Also, the guy that sold me the watch told me out right that the band / bezel / face and hands were all aftermarket. I was simply hoping he was wrong about the bracelet, The watch is silver even though the pictures show it as gold
Thanks for your replies,

True, but I think I had over 500 posts, many of them personal, before outing myself as a chronographic neanderthal.
Have a heart bro, have a heart.

Sorry for that and I stand corrected. Rather than get right to the point with his watch-related question on a watch related forum, it would have made for a much more polite forum intro to first go into his personal obsession with ripped fishnet stockings. 😁

It's certainly common to find these gaudy blinged-out DJs, so the case and movement are plausibly authentic, but it's impossible to tell from the photo. The dial appears to have an outer step, so perhaps this is a modified 4-digit DJ, like a 1601, which would have a non-quickset 1570 movement. It's even possible that the dial is authentic but modified, although it's ruined in any case.

Well in all fairness you can tell a lot about a watch person by how much time they spend outside women's changing rooms, parking lots at truck stops and their Google history cache.

Let's not shit all over my hobbies.

Dan, thanks for the info, I didn't quite understand the others, anyway, the serial number comes back with a 1972 date and the model number is 1601, so you were right about that. What do you see as modified on the dial? I don't see that exact dial anywhere. Thanks again and have a great 2023!

The diamond settings are not factory IMO.

Yes usually in those older stepped DJ dials the diamond settings are the squared-off sharp edged types.

Is what you are referring to as the face being stepped, is what is also referred to as a "Pie Pan Dial"?
