    Afrer the discussion earlier this week about the above;
    I saw an interesting post on IG, the owner of the vintagerolexforum, Eric Ku has just bought a
    165.024 SM300.
    It is a military version so not your common or garden variety.
    A similar watch sold for £25k in an action house recently.
    Just goes to reinforce the fact the strong money is moving into our favourite pieces.

    Alan Maleh brings up a good point in his talking watches segment; there are certain watches that you can invest in and it would be no different than investing your money in the stock market.... its a good selling point for the wife:thumbsup:

    Actually, Ku has been trying to complete a collection of original versions of the '57 Omega trifecta: Railmaster, Speedmaster and Seamaster300. He said so in the Hodinkee Talking Watches segment a while back. Although i suppose the right SM to get would the be the ck2913..
