Hi guys,
I have for sale a full set Rolex Explorer II ref.16570 "corn grain" in great conditions, with an unpolished case and an incredible dial with pumpkin patina hour markers.

This is an exquisite example of the rarest of the Explorer II ref.16570: the "corn grain dial" (in Italian "chicchi di mais"), nicknamed this way because in this specimen the tritium of the hour markers ages taking a yellow cream patina while hands usually remain white.

The dial is one of the earliest type of Polar and the case is unpolished.

X serial number, circa 1992.

The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.

CASE:
Even and thick case that in my opinion has never been polished.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 16570 stamped caseback.

BEZEL :
Original Rolex bezel in very good conditions with sharp black engraved numerals.

DIAL/HANDS:
The dial is an original Rolex 16570 tritium Polar dial, with an amazing pumpkin patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and they match almost perfectly to the dial (a very rare thing on “corn/cream” 16570).
Tritium is original and was checked with UV light: both hands and hour markers react correctly in the same way.
Dial shows no chips around the rehault, no scratches, no "craquelê" or spots.

BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 78360 with 501b endings in very good conditions, with 12 links.
The clasp is original to the watch and the code (S) matches the serial number.

MOVEMENT:
Correct 3185 Rolex caliber running well.
The movement was fully serviced by watchmaker.

SET:
The watch comes with the original Rolex box (inner/outer) with sticker, the Rolex warranty holder, the Rolex translation booklet, the Rolex calendar, the Rolex booklet.
Original guarantee is missing

Asking 11000 Euro, insured shipping included.

Payment method - I will accept Paypal and bank wire.
