Hi guys, I have for sale a Rolex Explorer II ref.16570 "corn grain" in great conditions, with a perfect case and and an incredible porcelain dial with creamy patina hour markers. This is an exquisite example of the rarest of the Explorer II ref.16570: the "corn grain dial" (in Italian "chicchi di mais"), nicknamed this way because in this specimen the tritium of the hour markers ages taking a yellow cream patina while hands usually remain white. The dial is one of the earliest type of Polar: the so called Polar "porcelain" dial, due to the eggshell patina under the sapphire crystal depending on the light. X serial number, circa 1991 The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time. CASE: The case is even and thick with sharp beveled lugs. Serial and reference number are fully visible. Original 16570 stamped caseback. BEZEL : Original Rolex bezel in mint conditions and has sharp black engraved numerals. DIAL/HANDS: The dial is an original Rolex 16570 tritium Polar "porcelain" dial, with creamy patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct. The hands are tritium and they are lighter than the hour markers (as it should be in the 90% of original "cream/ corn" 16570 dial). Tritium is original and was checked with UV light: both hands and hour markers react correctly in the same way. Dial shows no chips around the rehault, no scratches, no "craquelê" or spots. BRACELET: The bracelet is the original 78360 with 501b endings in perfect conditions, with 13 links. The clasp is original to the watch and the code (P) matches the serial number. MOVEMENT: Correct 3185 Rolex caliber running well. Original "open 6" data disc. The movement was serviced three years ago according to the previous owner. Asking 8000 Euro, insured shipping included. Payment method - I will accept Paypal and bank wire. Plenty of international references.
