·OK, after endless hours on OF, looks like it's my turn to put something up for sale. I purchased this 1996 Rolex Explorer 14270 a few months ago. It’s a lovely watch but it’s not getting enough wrist time, so time to cash it out and hunt for the next watch.
This is a 1996 Rolex T-serial Explorer, all original. Watch was sold in 1997 but T serial dates the watch to circa 1996. Very good, honest condition. The black dial is going matte as you can see in some of the photos; this is one of my favorite aspects of this watch. Runs well, but no service history. I don’t see evidence of polishing but YMMV. Tritium markers, 78790 flip-lock clasp, 558 B end links. Includes materials shown in photos (inner box without cushion, original signed/stamped warranty paper and envelope, original booklets). I’m happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability.
My offer price is $6,000 net to me. You can pay by bank wire or PayPal. Any associated payment fees, as well as FedEx insured shipping from Laguna Beach, California, will be borne by the buyer.
Returns accepted within 48 hours after delivery if I have grossly misrepresented the watch.
