I love seeing the crap that they throw out in the market...

Just makes me happier with what I already have.

That is a very big hand...👍

Which guy who wants a Daytona wants a thin Chronograph?! 🤨

Guess Daytona 45 is on more wishlists 😁
I suppose I am that "guy". I quite like the Daytona ceramic and admire the Bulgari.

Don't see that as being particularly insane, clearly different watches: one more casual with the motorsport reference and the other more dressy / avant garde.

I was just commenting on the absurd value proposition of a ceramic Daytona at US$20K vs what Bulgari have achieved, but perhaps that is too much of a nuanced view in an increasingly polarized world...sigh🙄

Boy those guys at Rolex sure continue to be ‘deliberate’ with their releases. But take more risk and you end up with the Tudor releases, which I also do not find attractive. I still love my orig BLNR and vintage Rolex pieces though!

Agreed - not a fan of the Rolex releases but the Tudor ones are even worse! That Black Bay P01 is hideous! Can only hope they are knowingly setting the bar low this year to come back stronger next year

RPR was spot on with the leaked info yesterday...so funny seeing the massive thread on Rolex Forums throwing hate at Philipp.😁

😁Agreed, reading those threads and the IG comments more than made up for the lack of excitement in the actual releases!

I would say the Black Bay P01 is a special interest watch 😁

Well the good thing about today is that it's going to save me money this year! I'm still feeling like the watches I own now are current (which is always a worry come this time every year).

Feels like Rolex and Tudor just gave up this year. And I hope it encourages some diversity in the minds of the purchasing public, which can only benefit the watch industry as a whole.

Rolex is just being Rolex. My local AD told me almost 100 customers asking for WG YM already and the list for old batman has moved to this new ones.

The white gold GMT with meteorite dial looks good but should do for nearly £30,000.
Had to google it, as it is not included in the Rolex Pressroom link in the OP. (Which is strange?)

That is looking very fine indeed. Makes up for a lot of the other disappointing releases. 😀

All Rolex needs to do is just continue to play " hard to get". "Waitlist" is a better strategy than "innovation".

The only thing more boring than Rolexes releases is the constant comparison of Rolex to Omega.

They’re totally different brands with totally different branding philosophies.

Well Omega vs Rolex is one of the most common benchmark discussions you will find in any watch forum...ALS vs Patek often comes up as well...earth shattering no...but benchmarking is a normal way of evaluating a product or service😀 I did find your post to be riveting though...and certainly more interesting than the Rolex releases.

... And Tudor is celebrating a failed prototype by releasing P01. My special interest is finding out why the US Navy failed it. Is this Tudor marketing genius or a company running out of ideas?
