Photo was taken during the morning at probably 10am. Wasn’t taken by me, but by a Sydney watchmaker and dealer. Was in a newsletter he posts.
He has walked past the window many times to the same empty display.

I travel a bit with work from Aus to Dubai, NZ, Singapore and US and have battled to see any Rolex in airports or boutiques for years. Probably from late 2017 onwards they started to dry up.
2013 to 2015 I could have bought any Rolex available just about anywhere.

According to the clock in the background, the picuture was taken at ~08:49

The Rolex AD in my town opens at 09:30, and normally when i walk to work in the morning at a similar time (~08:30), i also see empty windows. However shortly before they open, they at least fill up display windows with some models that are not for sale.
Yesterday in the evening there was even a yellow gold Daytona, Sea Dweller, Explorer, and many other models.

8:49?!

I'm calling my optometrist. I noticed that clock and assumed that it read 3:10.

Yeah I’m 3500km from the nearest anything better than a Small display of Seikos in a jewellery store window.
Last watch collector in Darwin I spoke two was telling me about the 3 G-Shocks he has besides the green one that matched his army Camo,s

Get a trip abroad with work usually once a year so it’s good to see what is happening in the big smoke. 😉

Both mirror image and upside down reflection?

I simply thought it was on a back wall of the shop.

Then I doubt it will cause any price drops.

It will if people believe it will. That's the beauty of this whole Rolex phenom thing, also works the other way around as we see in this very thread!

Love the Lexor Bois banking BIG on that new factory being the end-all to availability woes.

As far as I know The Crown has never once stated what that factory is specifically for - could be for production for sure but it also could be for R&D, hoarding their already endless surplus of coin, hosting Hoodwinky events... but either way, last I checked someone makes nearly a million cookies but the world demands two million and you produce two million -- the cookie store still has zero cookies.

How do you know how many cookies…the cookie machine is just from old data many years ago.
Not many here have been able to get a cookie that’s not over priced.

Funny how the Crackers (Tudor) have been available the whole time the cookie jar has been empty 😗

Then 14 million cookies made, 14 million cookies sold, still zero cookies in the store.
Numbers are meaningless when everything equals Zero.

Tudor - exactly. In some strange sorta boring plot twist one could surmise that Rolex orchestrated the entire thing to bump the lil' brother up the hill ~ but that's ridiculous and doesn't make sense to me.

I went to Vegas last Oct with my best friend growing up and his uncle, and I'd never really talked with my buddy about watches, but I told him while walking through the Wynn, that the rolex store and some of the others are merely museums over a place to buy anything. nothing will be in stock, and if there's display watches, they'll be empty. So, we walked in, and sure enough, it was so... There was 1 empty skydweller in the place. Still blows my mind..
