Rolex 6426 Opinions

I've seen this up for sale, I've never bought a Rolex so would like the opinions of people on here. I absolutely love this dial and they seem fairly difficult to find at a reasonable price.

I've added some pictures below and asked for a picture of the movement. The seller states it has had a 'regular service'. They are asking for around £1700 including shipping

Look how the hour markers don’t align with the minute marks. Clear evidence of a redial.

TBH, I think these are very common and easy to find in good condition for fair prices. They're really not very much in demand because of the 34mm size and because they are hand-winding. They are very much the entry level Rolex and there is no reason to buy a poor example. I would look for one with a good bracelet, since the bracelets for 19mm lugs are not that expensive either.

The 36mm ref 6424 is much harder to find.

Pre-pandemic these things were under $1k in excellent shape on bracelet all day long…ugh. If only I had a crystal ball.

Roughly how much should I be looking to pay for a good one?

I think you can find a 6426 in the neighborhood of $2k, but you should check recent sales.

A 6424 will obviously be more, especially with the rivet bracelet, because the 7206 bracelets are easily $2.5k by themselves.

Ideally I would like a dial similar to the one I posted (3, 6, 9 style) or a linen type dial. I'll keep looking
