Hello guys pls help me have a look at this piece of gmt. The patina looks nice. The case wasn’t as fat as the 16800. It a full set with all the box and papers. One thing to note is that one of the link has a dent. Seller is asking 11k USD for this piece. Not trying to be an askhole here. Keep asking and not buying but. Seller took out this as well an I’m confused between the 16800 and this hahha. I can only buy one. Which will be a better acquisition?
The 16800 case is in far better condition and bracelet does not look as if it has a lot of stretch. Dial and hands evenly aged, nice condition. The GMT has had a severe polishing, the bracelet looks to have had a fair bit of wear. Dial and hands look good. A positive are the box, booklets and warranty papers. I am all for the 16800. But divers have my preference anytime.
I preferred the 16800 too as the chamfers are still there and the case remains thick while the patina is nice and even. Not to say this 16700 is a bad watch in anyway but comparatively with smiliar price point, I will get the 16800.
Sad, overpolished case on the GMT. The price is outrageous...and I personally don't see anything special about the 16700 reference. Just my opinion. Go for the Sub. Not cheap by any means but a much better value. Cheers,
11g for a 16700? Even if it was a good example, and this one is not, that’s out of control. 16800 is priced better, still high though as I think it should be under 6 but they are sold on that range here and there so.... Me? I’d take a good look around before buying either..... actually before buying g the 16800, the 16700 is stupid.
