Hi everyone,

I've found my Rolex Explorer 114270, to a french seller with one year guarantee.
I've put the watch on my wrist but it's my first Rolex & the first Explorer i've seen/wear, so I've a lot of question.

It's a full set, very little worn and unpolished (that what he said).

An other friend have bought a GMT to this seller & the watch was too much polished.
Can you help me, do you see something strange on this ?

Thanks a lot.

what about an underside shot, we are not getting enough angles of all the lugs for a fair assessment of unpolished or not.

much better! i wouldnt say this is unpolished, its an ok (maybe 80-85%) example but that can depend on the price

If that was €4.900-€5,000

It looks like a tidy example- id say it’s been freshly ‘polished’ although the finish seems a quite aggressive brush finish.

Price or overall condition

both, your Euro is way more expensive than the costs i paid for mine. i was obsessed with patina the other year and added one which i had thought was a good deal until i found out ebay charged taxes. it turned out to be almost equally as expensive as the newer 114270 i bought which was full kit. i will share pictures later.

here are a couple of pictures to show how the lugs are. this is the tritium example which was deemed gently polished from craft and tailored.

this is my daily driver when i dont want to bother with a date.

ive always believe in one to rock and one to stock, so here is a mintier example, with sticker on the case back still intact as a comparison.

notice the lines of the case, and the sharpness of the lugs. the brushed finish, and the smooth bezel.

Thanks for your Time, answers and pictures.
It's hard to find the perfect watch on internet, all models seems to shine too much and of course no one wants to tell you that the watch has been polished.....

They're two or three local watchmaker in my town may be one ll'be honest....
