There was a price increase last Oct, a friend was able to find a panda for retail at ¥693,000

Looking for more ideas on straps. I'm planning on purchasing a 3861 Sapphire bracelet as I don't really like the version that comes with the Rising Sun.

But also looking for something a bit more casual. Leaning towards a light grey canvas/suede/sailcloth with red accents/stitching. Perhaps a custom from Jean Rousseau.

Any other examples?

Grey is a good color choice, I have mine on an Aaron Bespoke grey ostrich leg, I posted a pic in the thread about Rising Sun prices (page 8)

Picked up a polished 3861 bracelet. Much lighter and more comfortable.

Still searching for a cloth or leather one. No hurry as I’m enjoying this one.

Very Nice, I was thinking of doing the same. What did the new bracelet set you back, if you don't mind me asking.

$680 plus tax. Expensive, but after wearing the 3861 bracelet I knew I wouldn’t be happy with the one that came on the Rising Sun.

My Moonwatch is the Hesalite version so I opted for the polished version for more flexibility in swapping. It’s a great fit for this watch.

Funny how the hands and indexes react to light… much more legible than I expected!

Amazing looking watch. I’d have one if it weren’t for the red tip on the tacho hand.

The red tip is a deal breaker for you? You can always change it out with one that doesn't have the red tip.

For me it would be the opposite :whistling:

wow! congratulations on your Tokyo panda. Beautiful! I see you also have a white Daytona. As the owner of both, objectively which do you prefer? without letting yourself be influenced by market assessments and prices, which of the two do you like more? in my opinion they are two watches of the same level, without a doubt.

Thank you so much. It’s difficult to be objective as there are strong emotions associated with the Daytona - family reasons etc.

The white of the Daytona is pure white (which I prefer), whilst the T2020 is silvery (beautiful, but not white). The Daytona is a thing of beauty but a nightmare to operate the chrono, which is annoying…. It has been my object of desire for a long time.

The Omega is a stunning watch, I love everything about it - including the fact that I don’t baby it as much as I do the Daytona…. It feels strong and sturdy and I am ok for it to take a few hits without my heart coming to my mouth with anxiety.

Comfort, the Daytona wins though. I am not a fan of the back of the Tokyo - it leaves an imprint on my wrist and the bracelet links pull my hair :)

So I guess the omega wins (objectively) by a hair as it’s a more of a daily watch :) Subjectively, the Daytona is a winner for sure, no question.

Eh, in real life, there wasn't near enough contrast for easy legibility in anything but bright light. I ended up selling mine because my older eyes need more contrast. It's a shame as it's such a beautiful watch.

Could have replaced the hands with a blued set, problem solved. The dial on these is special, striking and unique, I'd be hard pressed to give it up because of the polished steel hands.
