Always liked Ronnie Hawkins too. That performance on The Last Waltz was really good. RIP. A little off subject but The Last Waltz is the best concert film ever in my opinion.

The Last Waltz was also the first thing that popped into my mind when reading the thread title. I can never get enough of it.

The last waltz, Concert for the people of Bangladesh and Dylan at Budokan may be the three best filmed concerts but such a topic can be subjective as there are probably those who exist who dislike all three.

Love all three, but no conversation about filmed concert can be complete without at least a mention of Stop Making Sense...

He was one of the greats. Found and hired some of the best musicians, and changed the Canadian music scene forever.
