Very sad news, but he’ll live on as a hero for the ages. Sad to say men of his ilk are increasingly few and far between, but hopefully he will inspire a few future heroes. RIP

Thoughts are with his family.
Wasn't aware of that book. Will have to get it.
A true test of a man's psyche, sitting alone (although bloody busy probably!) in that command module not knowing for sure whether the other 2 are coming back...
