Passed yesterday and hitting the new today. I know there are some other SCTV fans here, and I'm sure we are all thankful he will live on as Floyd Robertson, Norman Gorman, Guy Caballero, Big Jim McBob, Count Floyd, and all the other characters he played on the show...

She blowed up real good!

Of course after SCTV he had other roles, including the heckler in Happy Gilmour...

RIP Joe!

Thanks for summarizing some of his roles Archer! I grew up in Detroit and remember watching the early SCTV episodes on Canadian television. I was sorry to see Harold Ramis go and now Joe.

My dad and I watched SCTV religiously in the early '80s, when I was in high school. We watched so many skits, over and over, that for the rest of his life he and I would trade quotes and remember our favorite characters, a few of whom were Guy Caballero, Alky Stereopoulos, and Count Floyd. Joe Flaherty was priceless. RIP.
