A re-issue from the mid 1990s, this Revue Sport 50's (as its name suggests) is based on a line of models popular in the 50s. Like many sports watches from the era, The "Sport" range had military heritage. Those military models include the Vertex WWW (one of the Dirty Dozen - Revue built this for the British MoD). The Vertex was powered by the Revue calibre 59, which also beat in many civilian "Revue Sport" versions. The movement in this re-issue (GT82) is a direct descendant of the 59, and the watch itself is a very close copy of the dial and hand designs of yore. The case is in great shape overall. Satin brushed, with polished details, such as the lug edges and the bezel. No obvious scratches, and only very superficial scuffs on lug only visible from up cloase. The acrylic glass has some scuffs -- most notably at about 2 o clock -- but these can be polished out easily. The dial is in excellent condition, with no stains or damage. Very nice gilt markers and minute track. Original tritium markers have yellowed quite nicely and still have a little luminescence! Hands also in perfect condition. The movement is the GT82 (also named MSR X1), made in-house by Revue since 1955! It has been serviced (cleaned & oiled) in March 2018. Comes with leather strap as pictured, with original Revue buckle. Original black leather Revue strap also included (not pictured)!
