Restoring original gold

I've solded 3 rings together (the middle ring being a a wider 9ct gold band)
I've successfully made this band several times, however this time after pickling I accidentally used my steel tweezers to remove the ring from the pickle. Now the gold band has turned silver. I've tried polishing, light sanding etc with no luck. How can I get the gold colour back ? Is this even possible . I have now hit panic mode as this is a customers wedding ring help and advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We don't know much from your post, but I'm guessing there was a reducing agent in the pickling bath, possibly resulting in electroless chromium or nickel plating. Obviously this is very speculative given the limited information provided. I'd suggest reaching out to some jewelers.
