I am very reluctantly selling my Ressence Type 1 Squared with Night blue dial. This is a full set and includes the stock blue leather strap and one additional unused brown croc Ressence strap (these are $300+). Retail on the watch is 20,600 which is what I paid. The watch has been worn less than 15 times.

This is a one-owner watch, as it was purchased by me at an AD last year. I believe it was the first type 1 squared that came into the US and is still covered by warranty.

IMO, this is one of the most groundbreaking independent watches in the market in the last few years and the type 1 squared is the best watch they have ever made. Unfortunately I over-reached at auction season in december and as my collection has gone into vintage-land I must part with this to fund some of these purchases.

Condition overall is near-mint. Dial and visible case are mint and not a blemish on them. On the case back there are 2 very minor scuffs which are visible in the photos. There is one minor blemish on the strap itself (also visible in pictures). Overall I would say 9++/10.

As many of you know, this is a highly sought-after model and I have actually never seen it on the secondary market (there have been a few of the regular type 1s to trade) It is sold out at many ADs including Hodinkee and retails for 20,600 without discounts that I am aware of (i paid full retail)

    Package Includes:

    - Box, papers, warranty card, etc.
    - Brown croc ressence strap

Price is $14,500 by wire; no trades. Shipped CONUS via next day Fedex at my expense. Numerous high dollar references available here and on TRF. Will sell internationally and ship at my cost.

I would urge potential buyers to look at the stock photos on the ressence and other sites to get a full sense of the blue dial (one of the best blue dial watches i've ever seen, but hard to fully capture in photos), the top picture is from hodinkee but all the others are of the actual watch in dreary winter boston light.

    Thx OF for the space

Wow!! I would love to own this watch some day. I totally agree with you, definitely the most innovative watch that I can think of in recent years.

just a few more pics from the hodinkee article to really give a feel for the dial as it changes dramatically based on the light

i have owned a type 1 and a type 1 squared and there is just no comparison this is the better looking and better wearing watch

it was pointed out to me that people join OF just to buy and sell watches, so i am withdrawing the watch from OF so no one can "arb" the OF price vs. the "buy it now" price of 18k. however, if an OF member wins I will give ship at my expense and of course the "buy it now" price is active for anyone including OF members. sorry for any confusion.

Best of luck to you! Isn't a no-reserve a bit of a risk for you? I mean hopefully it works well for you, but I know that I would be sitting on tenterhooks unless the price goes somewhere what you want for it soon.

My experience w eBay is with new watches they tend to sell for "the right price" whatever that is. No reserve just generates a lot of interest. We will see!

I would not say the same for a vintage watch and would never sell something special vintage on eBay. With this everyone knows what msrp is and its just about finding the widest audience

maybe make it so that it's an OF member in good standing....with a minimum amount of posts say 100, or you get to decide whether they have made a reasonable contribution to this community?

Love this watch. They are tough to find retail. I spotted one in the Detroit area about a year ago. GLWS. I put in a bid to get it moving, but it's stuck @ $2.25.

this watch is back. . buyer who bid 13.5k on ebay had never seen a ressence in person, and did not like the watch. additionally the watch has been fully serviced by ressence and is in perfect working order.

annoying situation. . but such is life. . so.. here we go again

i will offer this watch @ 13k to OF members (pay by wire) + free next day fedex CONUS or at my cost international shipping.

i am also offering it as a no reserve auction on ebay with a buy it now price of 15k. if an OF member wins the auction i will also ship for free CONUS

    the auction is here

given that the ebay bidding is above the OF buy price and i didn't get any OF inquiries this time I am withdrawing the watch and letting the auction run until the end. I will still ship for free to OF members however
