I'm not certain whether I might have previously posted this watch for opinion under another thread. If I did, I'm declaring a "senior moment". So please take a look & let me know what you think.

your thoughts on should the ,If I were to get this, should the dial be left alone or restored, redialed etc, terms used have been debated, but y'all understand what I'm asking.

Thanks to all for responding. :)

Don't buy this. The dial is not good (looks like water damage) and the lugs have been incorrectly refinished (serverly brushed). This inside edge of the case looks problematic too.

Agreed - pass on this one. The dial is 40% of the value of a pie pan and that one has mold spots. Not even worth the opening bid.

You've still got just the one so far right? Or have you been doing any more buying

The one I just bought is my second Omega. My first is a Seamaster that I'm having cleaned up. I should have that one back soon. I haven't been doing anymore buying. I ventured off my wish list to buy the recent guilloche dial watch. I just thought the dial is cool & I have a vintage Rolex with a similar dial (waffle). I really would prefer to find a nice, clean Pie Pan Constellation. The one in this thread would have been a restoration project. I had pretty much decided pass on the watch, before I asked for forum advice. But before I passed and still learning the Omega brand, I felt more comfortable with asking for advice here.

Or this one? (obviously not the same seller):

First one is a redial and not a very good one.

Second one has an original dial. I was going to post this in one of your other threads, but the case seems to be a bit overpolished to warrant the opening bid. Also, there is something about the angle of the lugs that bothers me. It looks like they were bent out-of-shape at one point.

    Keep on looking,

Thanks, I will keep looking...just gonna take my time until I get a thumbs up from you & all others that weigh in on the forum. If you or anyone else, familiar with pie pan, stumbles on to a nice one let me know. :D What kinda price range should I expect to pay for a decent pie pan?

WTF is up with that dial? Mirrorred gold on a gold capped watch? Incorrect redial. Didn't even get to the lugs.

Another redial, but it is so noted in the description. I think the seller is a member here.

One very good tell on the pie-pans. It is very difficult if not impossible, to reproduce the sharp edge of the pie-pan on a refinished dial.

    Hope this helps,

WTF was my thoughts also, but I thought for a chuckle I'd throw it out there. Thanks for the look & advice. Is there any such thing as a redial that looks correct on a pie pan? Or the only advisable pie pan to collect & occasionally wear is with an original dial?

Ignore all the others you asked about and go for this one - about as nice an example as you will find.
