Hello -

I’m hoping someone can help identify this Speedmaster that was recently gifted to me.

Im new to this but resembles a 145.022 - 69 DON

It’s all original, needs some maintenance as the manual wind dial is loose.

Any thoughts?

Thank you - Dr. B

Nice find, looks overall in great shape!

I should've added, too: congratulations--that's a really lovely gift.

As gets written to everyone here who gets a watch like this: if you plan on wearing it, you should get it serviced (not sure what you mean by "manual wind dial is loose"--do you mean the crown?), but not by Omega itself. Omega will try to make it look brand new, meaning polishing it and replacing parts. Your watch, I suspect, hasn't been messed with and is entirely original. If you're interested in recommendations, you might post generally where you are, and folks can chime in about reputable watchmakers who could service the watch.

Regardless: congrats again. That's one of the most fun watches to wear that I know of.

Really nice watch, very well kept, it’d be good to get a service from an independent watchmaker, no polish or aesthetic changes just cleaning and servicing. Enjoy it mate you’ve got a great watch there.

I appreciate the quick responses and information - Thank you, all.

I have no intention of replacing parts or making it look new. Would like to keep it as original as possible and get it working. Regarding the loose part, yes, it’s the Crown that’s loose.

I’m in upstate New York, I will take your advice and seek out a reputable watchmaker for service.

THANK YOU!
