Risking probable derision from ulackfocus, I have a question about a 1990 Speedy on eBay. While looking for a watch from my daughter's birth year (mine is too rich for my blood), I came across this Speedmaster. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speed...074163?hash=item2ef900ca33:g:k1AAAOSw44BYTI-RPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network It has been serviced and the original parts are included. It has an 861 and tritium lume, which should be correct. Aside from being overpriced, I know there's something wrong that is staring me in the face. As always, your assistance in pointing it out, is greatly appreciated.
Looks about right to me - combination of dial / bezel indicates around 1990, and even the 1479 bracelet supports that. Hands look like they might be newer than the dial but that's a lot easier to correct than the other bits
The hands in the photo still look to be tritium, at least the hr/min hands. Some value there after replacing the originals
I think that's too high. A 1992 just sold for $2700. No box or service but that doesn't take the value to $3500, in my mind. There's an '84 in decent shape for $2500.
Could you link to that? I have a friend from that year who's looking Btw, doesn't the top right lug look a lot more polished than the others?
I just found out it sold. It was ashleysteadman's listing on OF. Have you set up a search on Watchrecon.com? It does but I'm thinking it's the angle. If the seller responds to my offer, I'll know soon enough.
