Replacement Bezel for Omega Seamaster early 1970s model 166.0209

I have an early 1970s Omega Seamaster model number: 166.0209. Unfortunately the bezel is damaged. I have owned the watch for many years and I would love to get the bezel replaced. I contacted my local Omega service centre who told me that the replacement part is no longer available.

I have been doing some searching but so far no luck. Does anyone know where I may be able to get a replacement bezel?

Many thanks.

You really only have two options if Omega doesn't have a replacement:

1) get a bezel custom machined. This is a pricey route, but if you search the forum you'll find a few names people have used.
2) find another "parts" watch to harvest a bezel from. If you're willing to wait, you can keep an eye out for watches of the same reference that have junk dials/movements, but a good bezel. Usually this is the most cost effective option as you can often offset your cost by selling the remaining parts.

Based on that photo, the upper right lug is showing some pretty serious plating loss and the bezel is broken. Speaking practically, from an outside perspective, it's not a particularly collectible model to begin with and the condition is pretty bad. It's very much a personal decision for you. But in your place, I would probably choose to put my money elsewhere.
