Hello lovely people of the OF,

I know this is a long shot but I'm looking to replace the bezel on my Omega Day Date:

Reference: 3520.50.00 (Rhodium‑plated)
Year: 1999
Cal: 1151

I have stumbled upon this replacement bezel on a trading site for $105 USD.

The description of the bezel gives no indication of its authenticity and only says:

"Speedmaster bezel 4th, 5th"

... which is a little confusing. So all I have to go on are these images and that vague item description.

So my questions are:

1. Do you think this is a legitimate Omega bezel?
2. Would this bezel fit my Day Date?
3. Is it easy to swap the bezel out or would I need a watchmaker to do the work for me?

Again, I know this is kind of a long shot given the lack of information but this is all I have to go off. Also the sale would be done through a Japanese proxy service so asking the seller questions is not an option.

I have added a picture of my day date where you can see the wear on the inner part of the Tachymetre close to the crystal.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

The bezels on these date models are not the same as on a Pro model. The bezel on these holds the crystal, so when the bezel comes off the crystal comes with it, and the dial is exposed.

The bezel you have shown isn’t for your watch...
