Removing Scratches on SS Bracelets.

I tried Scotch-Brite [green] for the first time today on the scratched clasp of my 7912 bracelet. I forgot to take a “before” pic...sorry about that. Anyway, I utilized brown plastic packing tape to mask the polished surfaces and fabricated a stabilized straightedge device to obtain straight brushed lines on the clasp. I thought it went fairly well...but you can still see some remnants of the deeper scratches as indicated by the red arrows in the first pic below...

Looks nice, if the scotchbrite made it feel rough or dull, a light polish will smooth things down a touch without taking away the texture. To get rid of deeper scratches, I believe you have to first sand and polish them out, and lastly apply texture via the scotchbrite.
