Reflector ring color on early Speedmasters

This is an old thread, but I thought I would revive it because I came across a 105.003-65 that is a bit peculiar.

As far as I know, the silver tension ring should be present only up to 105.003-64 and I'm not sure how this is possible, but the dial seems to be sitting in the case off-center as well (angle of the camera?). The movement serial is 22825--- which is in the ballpark, but it does seem a smidge early for a 65. Thoughts?

Crystal/rehaut have been replaced by the previous owner at some point, I believe.

I've been writing to Mike to get him to sell me that! No response so far, which I'm guessing means I didn't get it. 🙁

It has been sold. I'm not sure what I was thinking with the "off-center" comment. Wrote that very late last night. Definitely the camera angle

as far as I have observed, the silver tension ring came in a smaller width in the 105-003 from 63 and 64. and was exchanged for an even smaller painted black ring later. kind regards. achim

I thought I would continue in this thread regarding the hesalite with chrome/silver/white tension ring.

Is the one with part number 063PZ5078 for the one with a wide tension ring? And if so what part number does the second one have? I guess @Archer knows?
