    Hi
    Just started to refinishing my Omega Seamaster I just wont to check on the correct finish of the the case which parts polished which parts brushed. Also are sides of bracelet polished or brushed?

    Sides of the bracelet are polished. On the case, the sides are brushed, and the tops of the lugs and the chamfer that runs from lug to lug are polished. The inside of the lugs are brushed again.

    I don't know what equipment you have to do this work, but if this is your first go at this, I recommend leaving it to a professional. These cases are not easy to refinish correctly when compared to say a Rolex sub or something like that. Getting the finish right, and not rounding off corners, etc. can be a bit tricky without the proper equipment and experience. Even though these are not collector pieces, a poor refinish can certainly drop the value.

    Thanks for the help and advice, have decided to go with just a light polish to the case and scotch brite to the bracelet. Has given the old girl a new lease of life after 12 yeas
