That looks way clean... only plank dials I've seen thus far have been badly shagged out

How did it transform from a plank dial to a regular dial? All of these are great examples.

 

The Ref. 2517 is unusual, but not rare. You are seeing two different watches, of course.

Gator was saying the plank dial watch he posted was how the dial of the OP's watch looked like prior to repainting.

 

Oh...I thought he was saying that was what his watch looked like before he cleaned it up!
