Yep, it went viral after a couple days. I called the seller directly around 2am here from Sydney when it first came out and there were only a few bids.

His exact words, "I'm a man of my word and I won't change my mind". The auction ended early now.

 

I still can't find the listing, whether in active or already completed auctions (something wrong with my searching skills?!). Does anyone mind posting the link....?

Seller has just texted me saying that he ended the auction because he wants to give the watch a proper exposure and will be selling it through an auction house, so he said it's not sold yet.

 

Watch will be sold at Christie's later in the year per insider information. Estimate likely to be $40k+...
