After the Pie-Pan era. CAL 1001 with serial number 29.0 million. Bought it last summer in Hamburg. A little boring and too new for my taste but very much gold, a heavy watch.

Very sharp - looks almost like new old stock to me....and one of the rare occasions I have actually seen a 168.0033 still going. Unless modified according to Omega specs, these 1001s spluttered and died.

I like the case design: classic with the knurled bezel that adds just a modicum of bling.

    Cheers

I love the way you put that, a modicum of bling, it sounds both gentlemanly and gangster.

Perhaps we could describe it as slightly north of Bader-Meinhoff :)
