Looking to sell or trade a recently acquired vintage Zenith cal. 143-6 chronograph. 2000 of these watches were manufactured by Zenith and given to pilots of the Jugoslavian/Yugoslavian National Army (JNA) in the 1950s. This particular watch was purchased in Belgrade, Serbia. This is one of the cleanest examples that I have come across.

The original, unrefinished dial is in excellent condition IMO. The black dials on these watches tend to be heavily degraded. There is a small mark near the 6 o’clock marker; otherwise, in fantastic condition. I’ve included numerous photos of the beauty so that prospective buyers can assess the watch under different lighting.

Stainless steel case is in very well preserved condition and has all the proper Zenith markings. Nicely sized at approximately 37mm not including the crown.

Inside is a cal. 143-6 manually wound movement, recently disassembled and cleaned by my watchmaker. Last photo was taken by my watchmaker during servicing.

Original pushers and Zenith crown.

Pictured strap is included in the sale.

Trade: I’m hoping to find someone who has a vintage gold Rolex they are will to trade for the Zenith. I’m open to various models (except Cellini) and gold purity/fineness (9-18k) and am willing to trade up for an example with a gold bracelet. A blemish-free dial is a must.

Straight sale price: the last couple of 143-6s that have sold/been offered on OF were priced just above and just below 4000euro. I believe that mine is in superior condition but I will ask $6000 CAD (net), which is equivalent to approximately 3850-3900euro. Shipping is extra and to be discussed based on location and method of shipping.

Watch and I are in Canada.
