·My mini clear out continues.
Here is a nice 60’s Omega, reference 165.002 with unusual and attractive blue/grey/soleil dial.
I had it fully serviced in March 22 where it had several parts replaced so it’s ready to go.
Details:
Dial
Factory original blue dial not restored, refinished or repainted.
As is common with these 60’s blue dials, the tritium dots at the hour markers have reacted with the dial resulting in some localised paint loss. However, the dial is still very attractive with deep blue colouring and applied Omega logo and hour markers.
I’ve added a large number of pictures of the dial in different lighting conditions to accurately show the colour and condition.
The hands are original and correct and have been relumed as they were largely void of lume when I acquired it.
Case
Original stainless steel case, reference 165.002.
The case is nice and thick and has been polished so the edges are slightly soft.
Correct and original vintage Omega crown.
Screw down caseback.
Ultrasonically cleaned at recent service.
Movement
Omega caliber 550, automatic movement without date.
22m serial dating to approximately 1965.
Fully serviced in March this year at a cost of almost £500, where several parts were replaced including; reverser, ratchet winding wheel, barrel, mainspring, crystal (generic).
It is functioning perfectly and has a transferable warranty to March 23.
It passed a 30m waterproof test but I would not recommend getting any vintage watch wet.
Strap
I added a new generic strap when the watch came back from service in March. It’s been worn in my rotation since then so has minor wear but still perfectly serviceable.
Terms
Price - £895, reduced to £625 GBP net to me.
Worldwide shipping included.
Bank transfer preferred. PayPal possible for establish OF members.
Watch is in UK.
No returns.
