Only reason at all I'd sell this Tudor is because I presently need to come up with the rest of the funds to close my early sm300 (14755) holy grail acquisition.
Hence, I'm offering Mr. 7016, who just came out of service, after spending a seeming eternity in the safe. He passed the pressure test, has good amplitude, and keeps great time. I'm now wearing him daily until he's lovingly rehomed.
First and most obvious, if you're not into patina, he's not for you. lol
That out of the way, here's an honest, vintage, strong, never retouched (another Capt. Obvious moment! lol) Tudor Submariner 7016 from 1968.
Pics will do him more justice than any word description.
Has the 700 (no-dot-no-dash) crown, crazy super fat font ghosted grey long(ish) 5 insert, the correct white rose and upper 2 plus lower 4 print lines, but gilt minute track and tswisst.
Has the early MK1 case, correct for its I.68 period of birth.
Flat hour hand, and the big lollipop seconds hand which has sadly lost its lume, but still kicks butt!
Serial number is still visible, and correct for its age. Cal. 2483 inside is still ticking strong, and now has fresh oil too.
Sub looks great on my own #OMGRLX handmade Whiskey Horween Chromexcel one piece NATO strap, as its color matches dial patina great, so I'll be happy to include that strap with him, should buyer so choose.
