·Too many watches and slowly trying to make the hard decisions. This one is particularly hard to find because of the combination of salmon dial, case size, V22 movement, and stainless steel metal rather than chrome plated from the 1940s.
Reference: 236
Movement: Valjoux 22 Column wheel chronograph, service history unknown. I have used the chronograph function once and after 5 minutes of running, I stopped and it reset correctly.
Case: 37.5mm uncommon jumbo stainless steel case with snap back case back. There is some pitting commensurate with a watch that has been worn since the 1940s. The pitting is mostly along the case back interface. Some shallow spotting on the case back and lug welds can be seen on one of the lugs.
Dial: Salmon two tone with spotting appearing generally even across the dial. Original print and not redialed.
Hands: Blue steel hands are beautiful and clean.
Crystal: Likely replacement crystal which is clear without crazing or pitting.
The prices of V22 chronographs have been reaching silly levels. My asking price is 1000 USD and is way below most asking prices for a jumbo V22 chronograph from a no name maker of this era.
Includes watch head only shipped 2 day with USPS in the USA or at cost for international buyers.
