*Reduced* FS 1940s Movado $450

Would consider a trade for the right Zenith or Zenith related items. Early 1940s 14K Rose Gold cased Cal 470 Movado, 2 toned dial with applied/raised gold Breguet numerals. Measures 30mm across not including crown. Very unassuming inscription on the back. J.J.S from M.R.S 1942.

very nice sharp edges on the case. Very little to wear. Well taken care of obviously. Comes on a recently purchased genuine black Ostrich band, made in the USA. lots of pics so enjoy. Free shipping in US. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

When I see these types of movado I get bummed out about movados current lineup. I bought a vizio years ago on eBay. It’s quartz but I always just liked the black dial and the all steel look of it. I think I payed 275 on flea bay but when I got it, despite not having a box or anything it was pristine. At the time the vizio was movados new thing and the same watch I got used on eBay when new was like 2,300. It’s a shame I see some nice things movado makes today but when you see their vintage dials like the one the good captain has here it’s like movado lost its soul somewhere along the line.

I love vintage Movado. They have that old world charm that my Zenith’s don’t have. I have some other watches I’ll be listing. Gotta pay for the ‘day program’. BTW You’re total right. Somewhere along the line they just lost it and got bought up and have been reduced to the mall crawl crowd. There’s a Movado store near me at this awful mall. I never see anyone in there, it’s dimly lit and usually looks like just 1 employee. Really sad

I can’t say yes 100% but I have seen these Red pointer hands on other Movados. Considering it’s condition, I assumed it to be original but like all vintage things, I suppose it could have been replaced.
