1940s Movado triple calendar stainless steel celestograph. The watch is in very good vintage condition with superb patina. It has just been serviced and keeps perfect time. All complications are working.

Movado was one of the most prestigious and innovative of high-grade Swiss watch houses during the "Golden Age" of fine Swiss watchmaking from the early 20th century to the late 1960's. Vintage Movado watches from this period are superbly crafted and highly collectible timepieces! Movado has a rich history of producing calendar complications, including the "Calendoscope, Calendette, Calendomatic, Calendolux, Calendoplan," and this classic 1940's model, the "Calendograph." According to Fritz von Osterhausen ("The Movado History," p. 126), "these models are among the most collectable and nostalgic watches ever produced by Movado." Movement: Movado 15 jewel complicated calendar (caliber 475) movement (hand-winding movement);
Case material: stainless steel;
Case measurements: 34mm (excl. crown) x 42mm;
Dial: beautiful (original - untouched) two-tone dial in very good vintage condition, with raised steel Breguet arabics, auxiliary seconds dial, outer graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week and the months (all complications are working), ribbed sides with calendar push buttons;
Crystal: plexiglass;
Strap: brand new black leather strap with steel pin buckle; and
Gender: unisex.
