··Color Commentator for the Hyperbole. It’s time to start nibbling round the edges of the collection. As folks here know, I’m not much into selling. I’ve got plenty of buying references and only one selling reference. They are all positive. OF means a lot to me so I take doing a good job selling or buying seriously. First up is this very nice Wakmann Triple Date. Swiss Made Circa early 1970’s.
I’d prefer to sell on OF and in considering the cost of a service, I’m reducing the price to $2750 USD, Delivered CONUS. Shipped via Parcel Pro, Insured. As I’ve stated, this is now a serious bargain compared to comparable listings and past sales.
I will consider international shipment but I’m not going to play games with valuation or risk the postal services. The ship cost would be born by the buyer. (Of course we’ll talk).
Sale is final unless I have grossly misrepresented the watch, which I have not.
Payment: Bank Wire is preferred. Will consider PP F&F. Will consider PP also.
Case: SS, “Waterproof”, Screw Down Back. The inner caseback is properly signed “Charles Gigandet Swiss”. Other than some light scratches on the caseback consistent with wear, the case is in excellent condition. Might have had a light polish at some point. Domed acrylic crystal.
Movement: Valjoux Cal. 730, Manual Wind, 17 Jewels, 21,600 BPH, Quick Set Month and day via top corrector (for day push slightly deeper), quickset “crescent” date arm via bottom corrector. 12Hr Chronograph recording capability. I moved the hands around a bit so you can see all the dial. All functions work, the watch keeps good time, but I have not had this one serviced.
Dial: Matte, Panda, Minor Patina on the white sub dials. Tritium lume markers have aged to a nice yellow hue. The original handset features matching lume.
I’m happy to provide more pictures and answer any questions via PM. Thanks for looking.
