371 movement looks real to me. Thr dial Omega lettering does not look right, but may just s-l400.jpg s-l400-1.jpg be a bad crystal and bad image. Does this dial look original?
    Thanks

If I am reading the serial correctly, the movement is from 1950 or so, and indeed it is shock-protected. But the italicized OMEGA font reminds me of watches from the 1930s. I don't know exactly when this font was discontinued. Do you have case-back photos?

I am not an expert on redials, but I notice the Omega is not centered under the raised brand mark and the font looks odd. Every example of 1951-ish models seems to have a lighter, slightly larger type and all have the E centered under the brand mark. That being said, the tick marks do appear to be even and I don’t see any obvious signs of repainting...though the photos are not the best. Would get some more opinions here as I am still learning, but I vote redial.

It's a bad redial, heavily worn case, no crown and one of the less collectable movements. In other words, total car crash. Forget this one and move on.
