I heard from a VERY good source that the A386 is going to a member of this community.😉

I've chased these two models for years trying to get a "reasonable" price, only to see them sell for increasingly more.

That said, I agree the price for second one does seem high.

I liked this Captain very much and tried to buy it, wasn't sure if the bracelet was original to the watch but a correct Zenith 'bark' bracelet ,as I have seen other steel and white gold bracelets of different form on the Captain. Needless to say someone else cherished it a bit more than me. Good luck to them.

I think "m neuman" was referring to your post of the Captain back on page 41 on Aug 19th.

Whenever one of those comes up, and you're the one that hits buy first, it makes you feel kind of like a cat that's just watched a chicken leg roll off the dining room table

How did that slip under the radar?

Apparently I neglected to check eBay for a full 53 minutes. The first 20 minutes or so overlapped with my commute, then there was a quick scramble to change clothes for an evening engagement, and then back in the car. By the time I was able to slip off to the W.C. for a surreptitious phone-check, it was too late. EBay's recent major downgrade of their mobile app might have played a role. All this is not offered as an excuse, just a post mortem. I am ashamed.

The only consolation I can take from it is that the seller does not post to the UK.

Yes, I never fail to be slack-jawed in amazement at ignorant sellers who sell BIN when they have no idea of the value of the watch.

It happens I can attest to get a 135 cal for Australian dollars 900. But that is once in 10 years.
