This one has the correct, dial coloured date ring and importantly has the swivel lug extensions that make it sit nicely on the wrist. The strap is not original (they were brown) and he is open to offers. The BIN is about what you'd expect to pay this side of the pond.

Not sure about the dial on that one in steel without a better close-up, but the gold plated one looks good. Estimate is reasonable, presuming the steel one checks out.

I would say Yes based on the pictures provided. Text is a little light and a little too close to the star, the "1" and the "2" of the twelve are not even, and the dial overall is suspiciously featureless - no grain, no texture, no patina, no blemishes.
